In Too Deep video - watch it now!

The Unsinkable Boxer is proud to bring you the official video for In Too Deep. Filmed in late 2010, with post-production carried out early 2011, the short film expands on the story first shown in the eponymous album, re-introducing the three main characters, woven through a live performance by Colin Taylor and his band.

Produced by Colin Taylor and Roderick Wyllie, In Too Deep was directed and edited by Uisdean Murray for Lily Island Films, the video was shot on a Red One camera in high definition, by director of photography Ray Tallan.

Released on Britanicana Music, this is a meticulously hand crafted collection of songs with a human touch, meant to be held, savoured and contemplated long after the day is done - an album not to surf on top of, but to dive into.

Sub-titled, ‘Songs of Love, Hope and Hopelessness’, it presents The Unsinkable Boxer as the symbol of hope who guides us through this sad yet beautiful world.

Co-produced by Geoff Martyn, (ex Travis), with a crack musical collective, Taylor has written and created a rich tapestry of beautifully intelligent pop music which is essentially British sounding with flourishes of Americana. At times epic, at times sparse, it takes you to a place where the west coast of Scotland meets the west coast of America and delivers the sweetest punch to the heart

The Unsinkable Boxer is now available on CD from our store or as a digital download from Amazon, and iTunes.

On a cold December's day in Glasgow, the songs and characters of The Unsinkable Boxer were brought to life in a boxing gym in deepest darkest Glasgow, as photography was shot for the album cover.

A successful, if cold and long, day was the culmination of the album creation, as the imagery to illustrate the songs by Colin Taylor was brought to life in glorious technicolour!

Artwork concept and art direction by Roderick Wyllie, photography by Ken Mellin, make-up and styling by Vivienne Simpson, tea, biscuits, faith and everything else by the unsinkable Colin Taylor.

A huge thanks to the three very real characters - Anna Neirobisz, Andy Gemmell and Chris Boyd.

Thanks also to everyone at Kelvin ABC and Saratoga Trunk, Glasgow.
